A well established native of Harbour Island, James Malcolm has joined Bahamas Property Group following a 30-year track record of success working in domestic and international luxury resort services, hospitality, tourism and 2nd home real estate sales and smart development. After graduating from Florida Southern College with a Bachelor of Arts in International Management and studying French at Universite de Reims Champagne-Ardenne in France, James held top management positions at renowned four- and five-star resort properties in the southern United States and The Bahamas, including Pink Sands Resort in Harbour Island. In 2008, after three-and-a-half years as Executive Director with The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism where he oversaw the $250 million Group Travel market, James became Sales & Marketing Director for Schooner Bay Ventures in Abaco where he teamed up with community designers Orjan and Amanda Lindroth and directed more than $20 million in real estate sales. After his five-year tenure at Schooner Bay, James went on to become General Manager and Vice President for Sandpiper Inn where he oversaw the design, construction and management of the traditional Bahamian inn and great house. In 2016, James returned home to Harbour Island to expand on his career in the luxury second-home residential real estate sector. James’ unparalleled knowledge of the Harbour Island community, combined with his impressive sales and international marketing experience, enables him to offer invaluable assistance to his clients from all over the world.

Now an empty nester, James enjoys taking his clients out to the fly-fishing flats for bonefish. He is also an avid skin diver and enjoys sailing, boating and blue water fishing, as well as horticulture and studying the history of The Bahamas. James has been a member of Rotary Club of East Nassau for nine years and is recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow.
